Names

I'm nearing the end of my first trimester and of course, the subject of names had sprouted. We haven't agreed on too many yet.

Jasper, Elvis and Wesley are apparently names that will bring eternal teasing and bullying.

Well that sucks. I thought Elvis was an amazing name.

You may have noticed...

... my blog looks different. Or not. Since I have barely any readers.

Don't be surprised it it changes again, I'm pretty indecisive.

I Can't Wait to be a Mommy.

I think the most exciting thing about being pregnant is anticipating how many wonderful things I get to teach my child. Teaching how to be compassionate for other beings. Teaching how to celebrate differences. How to be proud of themselves. How to exercise creativity. What unconditional love means.

The thing I keep thinking about is how over everything is that I always, always want this child to have confidence. I want this child to understand the importance of giving back. I always want this child to make their own decisions based on their values, even if it's not always the popular decision.

Bay Bee!

So... We're having a baby! It's all so exciting and overwhelming!

As I type I'm in my 9th week, which I hear is the peak of nausea and hormonal nastiness. Hopefully the dizziness, headaches and nausea calm down by next week, because I am beyond miserable. I have no energy and I feel like I've been climbing mountains with no rest. Fortuantely... the worse I feel, the better my baby is developing.

There's not much to see now, but we got to see the heartbeat flutter and I can tell The Boyfriend is getting excited; he's announcing the pregnancy proudly to friends and co workers. It's adorable.

I can't wait to meet this little person! More news to come!

Did some random person create their own stencil? Looks like it.

Moving on...

I can finally say that 20+ hours later, I am finally frickin' finished with my counted cross stitch pattern. Although it probably took closer to 30 hours, I didn't actually count so can't say for sure. I sure am happy to be done with it.

I found this gem of a photo in my L2 catalog Friday night. I clearly edited it but never posted in. I'm not sure why. Isn't is cool? I'm quite proud of it.

I have a shoot planned for mid august that I'm pretty excited about. I'm going to do portraits of my friend Susie and am super stoked, as we are going up to my Dad's house in Cloverdale for part of the weekend. We should get some amazing shots, I'm really looking forward to it.
